hai!.
So i want to do stop-motion with a digital SLR.
(canon 350 d)
Does anyone have any experience with this ?.

I dont want to use, 8mm, super 8, 16mm etcetera, i have done before, and i know the terrible, terrible pitfalls...
--
And i cant afford a new, better camera .

I have done some trials making giff loops.. i dig it, but i need to have a better program / system to edit and save as.
Could anyone reccommend a software program where this kind of thing could accomplished?. Or just some general advice?. I just want to make short, shorts for now (nothing like that other stanley kubrick guy..)
thanks

After Effects imports images as a sequence... iMovie can do this as well... got to rename all the files so that they're in order so as to avoid any missing frames
- i would be using a PC by the way.. is after effects for sale or online ?Stanley_Kubrick
- sorry and thanks, i should just google itStanley_Kubrick

software for editing or for capturing?

@gung_hoek - i will capture it on my camera, then download it into my pc, where i would just want to string them together and do some very basic editing (dont need any sound at this stage) so for editing i suppose.. preferably not something really expensive.. main reason i want a new way, is giff quality (saved in gimp) seems shit, and it has to be a small picture, and i dont think i can make a giff very long can i ?

I would suggest a remote release if you don't already have one. That way your camera won't move at all, unless you want it to?
Aperture and Lightroom can both tether to most DSLR cameras if you want to control shooting from there.

Ok, so iStopMotion is not for PC's. But it is a little killer app for the Mac.
