This game looks sweet. Let us know how it is Ones.
I hope it's better than Oblivion...I liked that game alot but it got old quick, too repetitive, hopefully they can keep Fallout from getting stale like this.

Blew through Deadspace in anticipation for this and picked up Farcry 2. That shit is going to have to be set aside in favor of Fallout...

wow best game ever! i'm 20 hours or so into it, you can be as good or evil as you want... you can kill and rob pretty much anyone in the game if you wanted to. voice acting is superb, better than most movies, and the shit they have to say is actually interesting. there are tons of tough moral choices, which are not always black and white... and there is always more than one way to do a mission or get past an obstacle.
in one mission you have to choose if you want to help the hunter or the hunted, and both give you different rewards. but i was able to got both by warning the hunted about the hunter and getting one reward. then i offered him to kill the hunter, went back to the hunter and told him where the hunted was, getting the second reward and then killing him and taking his stuff too. brilliant game.
- I've done similar things to this a couple times already, brilliant game design indeed.d_rek

I finished it last night. I didn't do all the side missions, but I was actually quite surprised it was as easy as it was.

Agreed about Oblivion.
I think the Fallout world is so much more intriguing. That coupled with the dry comedy of games of yore should make this one more lasting.I'll post my initial thoughts tonight.

*bump*
Got it on Friday and I've already clocked up more hours than I want people to know about. It's fricking absorbing, finding it difficult to be anything other than good. Just picked up the Sniper Rifle, I'm going to be having fun with that, that's for sure...

yeah, if you play straight through the storyline it doesn't take too long to finish (especially if you glance at a walkthrough or two).
i think the real fun is in exploring all the areas not listed on the map and doing the side missions.
last time i played i was wandering around and somehow into vault 106. http://gamesblog.ugo.com/index.p…
i'm not a big gamer but i do love the concepting and art direction that went into this game.

Did anybody else kill amata's dad (overseer) when they were still in the vault? I wonder how this will come back and kick me in the ass later on...

Make sure to check out "Operation: Anchorage" and "The Pitt" to get new achievements/perks/gear and some replay value if you've already finished this amazing game.
