hello fellow qbn's.
anyone around l.a, ca. who knows where i can get wood / boards to make a desk?
i do not own any saw. so if they can cut it to the sizes i need. that would be great. which makes home depot pretty useless.
fyi. small budget. :-)

There's a nice place that sells 13 and 7ply baltic 5x5 sheets in Pasadena.

i'm not even in LA and my first guess was Home Despot. Or Lowes.
Unless you need a really specific size, just haul ass to your local Salvation Army..... or Ikea.

you could always buy a saw. a circular saw and a straight edge arent all that expensive. Or you could find someone that has one you can borrow. Maybe on CL or something.

dude, on sunset, near the 101 there's a homey depot chock full of day labor and a parking lot on the roof - what more wood you ask for?

i have a ikea desk at the moment. its 59" long and 27" width. its just i want to make my own, custom made. would fit perfect. you know.
my book shelfs are thick like 2inch. black brown color. the idea is to make the desk similar looking.
