Spooky
I'd have thought your ALREADY be selling art from galleries.
get your ass into gear mister and get schmoozing those art gallery types. All it takes is a well placed piece and the right people to see it then next thing you know you are the next biggest thing since that Wanksy (or whatever) guy who does the graffiti stuff.

Wow, so many people want out of the industry uh? WHY? Maybe you hate it now because you are not in the right place? Need new and bigger challenges?
I love what I do, but the way economy is right now I have scratched a few plans already and don;t have a concise idea yet. Maybe, living in Europe.

Well, I've been doing freelance web design and production for several years now, and each year I get more and more work. So, in a few years, I imagine I'll have hired some people to help with the work load, and I'll be running a small design shop.

It is a sad fact that most people don't want to be doing what they are doing now in ten years time. Me included in that. but i sort of said that 10 years ago too and things have changed a bit, but not sure 10 years worth of change.

I will have hoped to transcend the physical boundaries of my flesh sack within ten years time becoming a powerful, all-knowing spiritual entity known as GIGAMORPH.

Yep know what you mean J. Funny thing is you spend your time getting up the ladder and once you get there, you kinda think... well is this it?
Don't get me wrong being a CD is great but I got there a bit quicker than I thought (29), now I've been one for 3 years, the pays good, beats digging roads, but lets say you work till 60, another 30 years of this...? nope.I want to open something like this in a couple of years with the Mrs who's a food journo...

In all honesty in 10 years I will be 35, hopefully running my own studio and working with clients who have patience and understanding for the creative process + understanding of the value of design in business.
I know wishful thinking.
I will also hopefully have gone through 2 or 3 divorces, have several bastardized children and be living day to day on scraps of cash.

Expand business, hire more talent (that actually is motivated/ambitious), take vacations/work from remote areas, preferably tropical ;-)
Build more buildings (architecture and re dev), maybe a vacation home

If I still have a job in 10 years, this ruse I've been playing would have officially escalated to epic proportions. In fact, I think it is already at this stage, and anything past this will just be various degrees of absurdity.

i like freelancing. i like working on new projects with new people and new ideas. i think i'll keep doing this for awhile as i've ensconced myself in a pile of decent clients of my own that i can take anywhere i live. after awhile i'd like to creative direct either for a good agency or maybe a small one of my own.
although i have over 7 years of working experience i still feel i have a lot to learn about design, technology, leadership and myself before i can direct anyone.
@johnnnnyh - why so serious? why do you ask?
