I think there are some risks involved with getting a flu shot...and some of the ingredients in the shot are probably not so good.
I wonder how the risks compare to the risks involved with getting the flu though. Found this on USA Today site:
Each year, 36,000 Americans — almost as many people as are killed in auto accidents — die from complications of flu. More than 200,000 people get sick enough to be hospitalized. Yet children ages 5 to 18 don't figure prominently in this toll: Last year, only about 40 of them died of flu in 26 states monitored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Pretty crazy numbers there, I had no idea. Wonder what percentage was elderly or had weak immune systems from other complications and illnesses though.

gives you the flu to make you immune.
Frankly a company innoculating it's staff is just plain freaky.
Avoid

If you're a child, unhealthy or an old person then, sure, poof.

I got one at my company last year. I usually don't get them, but if they're free, is it a problem?

if it's free, sure i guess. up to you.
i don't get them, but then i am not elderly or in poor health.
you get a cold for a few days afterward, usually, but the idea is that you wont get the nasty flus that they expect will be in the area come winter. it is only 2 or 3 strains of the virus though. so you could end up getting a different flu that they weren't expecting, and it's possible that it wont work for you at all.

i heard that mexcan immigrants hide in flu vaccines and that's how they into this country.
if you get a vaccine you are harboring and promoting illegal aliens

It's been some time since I got a flu shot, but I know I never had any negative reaction to them.
The end of last winter I had a horrible strain of the flu that lasted a full 10 days, couldn't even barely get out of bed. I guess if I can avoid something like that again, it's worth it.

Para - they didn't have flu, they had a cold. If they had flu, there's no way on gods green earth they'd make it past their front door.
I've had the vac since I was about 4 because I have asthma. Never done me any harm, and I've only had flu once.
- well somehow the entire office would get flu at the same time!paraselene
