Buffet got super returns, not something the average investor can get - big difference. If I had his deal I'd dump a ton into GS and GE too, but as is both companies look iffy for a while.
Lots looking really cheap, but there is also no bottom to the world economy in sight. With no money and no credit, nothing will move forward.
Cash is king for now.

I'd be surprised if we have hit bottom yet

GM is at $4.85 right now. Their 52 week high was $43. Even if they can achieve half that in time, you'll make 5 times your investment.

I use proprietary trading software only available to hedge funds.

it's went up 800pts since 3pm. i think we hit the bottom. this doesn't mean it's gonna be an easy ride from here. we'll still see a lot of volatility but i think the market is seeing the bottom. we got 20min to go.

only bad thing is that it's friday. nobody likes to hold on to uncertainty over the 3day weekend.

I use sharebuilder.com (owned by ING). I like it because there is no minimum account balance, and no fees of any kind besides trading fees. (14.95US per transaction, no matter what the size.) even wiring money into it is free.
