My boss is about to buy a MacBook Pro and we're wondering if there's a way he can turn it on and have it running without opening the lid?
This is assuming we've got an external monitor/keyboard/mouse plugged in!

why on earth?

i'm pretty positive you can do that. I've seen the setup for that option.

1.) plug in an external monitor
2.) plug in a usb or bluetooth keyboard/mouse
3.) close the lid
4.) press a key - or - wiggle the mousethe laptop will display on the external screen with the lid closed.

with 2 monitors i have found my neck hurts from looking right and then left
alicetheblue - you can have my 24inch just right in front, alice...janne76

question, say you plug in a 24" monitor with the laptop, will it be able to use the maximum screen res that the monitor can handle or will it just use the maximum screen res of the laptop?
