Minale Tattersfield were one fo the very big cheesios in the early 80's. In the late 80's Marcelo Minale died and the company faded into obscurity. I don't think I've ever heard any reference to them on here so I thought I'd post it.
Bitmap type abounds!
How bad can a design company website be?

the big guys never have time to work on their own stuff. just look at their client list.
their own sites are always a sensitive project and anyone internally working for them that wants to redesign it is just asking for trouble.
- That's true, but look how out of dae some of Minale's site is - some of that work is over 10 years old. Kind of says they used to be a playa.Wolfboy
- Hey, that our excuse for our website!!!HomeCreative

Fair enough, but there is always the neutral option:

Loewy grows and grows. When I very first moved to London I lived up the Edgware Road. One day I was walking home and I took a back road behind the Edgware Road and was amazed, utterly amazed to come across the design studio of Raymond Loewy Ltd (presumably only their UK office not GCHQ). It was a really crappy, humble shambles of a place stacked up with mouldy old boxes. It consisted of about 5 people who looked like librarians rather than designers. I couldn't believe such a hero as Raymond Loewy's company could be reduced to such poverty on a tatty back street up the Edgeware Road.
Now they own a lot of the decent companies across the field... not bad going at all.

I don't like their site, but I do like some of their work these days.
I had an interview there years and years ago. One of the founder directors interviewed me. I was warned he was a total arshlock. Apparently everyone hated him, even his co-directors. I can't remember what the gist of it was now but it was one of those horrible hopeless interviews where he was determined to belittle me and my work from the get go and I was determined to fight back ( I actually didn't like any of their work at the time so I was offended that he treated mine with such distaste) and we ended up having this god almighty stand up shouting semi-fight arguement about something. I ended up saying I was going to leave before I did something I might regret. I would have regretted doing anything untoward anyway... he was about seven feet tall.
