I want one. But I want it for that grainy, call it shitty quality.. do the newer ones still have it? Is it just the "xeroxness" that makes it that certain feel?
Or????

sadly, newer xerox machines won't degrade the image. you have to hunt down an old one .. or just apply effects/filters.

Old tasty xerox machines are a bit expensive to keep.

just find a "copy machine" texture online
i wouldn't dedicate what could be thousands of dollars and cubic feet of space in my place for something i could easily reproduce in photoshop in about 2 minutes for free
- That doesn't have the same feeling, young buck.********
- I mean, wouldn't.********
- lets see this 2 minute wonder********

You can get an old one cheap, I'm sure. Trouble is keeping it functional.

They make kind of smaller ones.. I guess I will have to test them which will be awkward since I am craigslisting it up. But I have yet to see xerox imitation that is as good as xerox. But if anyone has something they think is close I would love to see.. but I will be pasting onto painting and scanning at really high resolutions.. and when you get in close with photoshop filters shit looks cheap, I think..

The amount of power required to run those old bastards is incredible. You might need a cooker-outlet for the really old ones...

What is DOc12? I am interested mirrorballs.
Good idea with the fax machine. I will test that out.

can't you just use a newer model and fuck with the contrast settings and then just scan the copy, and then scan that copy... etc.?
you can probably figure out a way to mimic it, just trial and error
