While the design isn't appealing to me at all, I know this will be important just for the fact that it's more open. We'll see if there is some kind of happy medium between keeping things completely open and keeping things more closed (like Apple). I hope that it will result in users getting more of what they personally want. I have also heard that typing is really annoying on the iPhone (doesn't really bother me, but I have small fingers), and that the keyboard on the Android is welcome.

i like the design. but then again i've had a HTC tilt for awhile. they make this thing too.
newsflash apple fanboys, palm, HTC, and others were doing touchscreen before the iphone. GASP. it's not a rip of the iphone, rather the iphone ripped them.
touchscreen still sucks for typing. prints on the screen, no tactile feedback, nothing to grip & can't look without typing.
can't wait to see the android platform evolve into something great. platform independence and openness are great things.
