Describing the prospect of Lehman’s demise as ‘ Armageddon’, one source warned it could slash as much as 1,000 points off the value of the main U.S. stock exchange, the Dow Jones.
Such a precipitous fall - described by one expert as like a 'tsunami' - would drag other stock markets into the mire, including Britain’s FTSE 100.

...I know it should be in politics but adds more importance to the U.S.elections...vote McCain and see Iraq throuh (probably see where else can be raped for short-term oil assets). Or do something smart like vote for Obama who at least thinks (and travels beyond the U.S) and isn't so stupid to choose a Stepford wife to assist
