I bought my friend an xbox 360 because I want to play against people I actually know. Also he's a good guy and is saving his cash.

I'm your friend Llyod. Buy me a PS3.

buy me a suitcase full of Yen and we can be the best of pals.
- Llyod0
the ps3 sucks
- sorry dude, the ps3 is in it for the long haul... the 360 is already outdatedscarabin_net
- LOL, games are made for the lowest common denominator, and there are really no major exclusives, I got a PS3 for FF and MG, now FF is coming to the XBOX, *shrug*
NONEIS - and MG, now FF is coming to the XBOX, *shrug*, what do I have to look forward to?NONEIS

I've been friends with him for 17 years so I'm not buying his friendship.

You know...sometimes I think about buying my friends tickets to events and/or things just so we can share the experience. And I don't want to make them pay for something I initiated (or that they are not as into). I've done this before with concert tickets, etc., but never something as large as a gaming system.

tickets are not bad. I spent $340; the 360 20gb with a copy of Halo3. It's pretty lavish from where I'm sitting but it's worth the shits and giggles.

This reminds me to post in the NHL Thread!!!

I would buy people lots of stuff if I could write it off on my taxes

I've given friends money/bought them groceries when they were in a tough time. It's cool to give freely, and not expect anything back in return. props.
- I love giving things, but then I think about how I feel weird receiving things, and if others feel the same way, blah blahJaline
- Receiving things that are worth a lot, I mean. I am one of those people who think I have to give something back.Jaline
- yeah, dunno why that is...most people cannot except gifts freely. I know what you mean. And it is hard to be on the receiving end.designbot
- when people are in a real bind, and don't ask for anything...that is when I think they will except. I hate "borrowing" to anyone in need.designbot
- need. I would never want someone to pay me back or whatever....keep it :)designbot
- Hahah yea, I love giving people stuff but do feel weird getting anything from people.********
- Mainly because I think they have an angle, and I distrust basically anyone who is nice to me for some reason...********
- @flavorful haha...I'm only that way if it's someone I don't know well. Like people that approach me at the mall :)designbot

I'll have to stress that I'm not expecting anything in return. Any advice?

You know, this topic is a bit too profound for me to get into this time of night.

wow you are a good friend... years ago at University I bought a friend a copy of World of Warcraft. Was like introducing him to crack , kinda messed his life up for a good 6 month period and probably cost him around 8k in HECs debt for classes he failed amongst other things.
