I'm another "I don't get it" vote.
Kudos to the agency who scored $300m for the job though, I'd have loved to have seen the pitch... We'll get Bill who will probably work for free, some unfunny twat called Seinfeld and we'll shoot it in a shoe shop - $300m please.

If they wanted to be hip and relevant, appeal to younger people and fight the Apple ads, they should have picked someone current. I am not a personal fan, but someone like Dane Cook (example only) could have brought for relevance and edge, and they should just combat the Apple ads more directly.

are they every going to come out with something that will make our computers moist and chewy like cakes.....
like an apple?

honestly...anyone?

So, how long before the next spot to see just how the plot is supposed to go? Can they redeem themselves even a little or have they completely lost it? I just can't picture what is supposed to come next...
A walk through the park and a little heart to heart about Vista? A country drive - does Bill drive a Ford with 'Sync in it? He does buy discount shoes after all.

If you guys thought the first one made no sense, then the second is even more stupid!

I actually liked that. "I have so many cars I get caught in my own traffic"
Where are they showing these ads? movie theaters?
- mattiaBK0
The ad in itself is not bad, I have hard time getting the point.

I don't get them at all. Did they just feel like burning money?

Only bit that worked well was when bill actually got his timing right with the 'i felt that' line.
- ha, me too.
Otherwise - it's just self-indulgent shite by rich, cocks, mocking us norms.Nairn
- ha, me too.

Well, the second one was nothing like I had imagined. I don't get it. All I can think is that they want to endear them to us now, then they will start the sales pitches later. I mean they're not great spots, but they're not terrible, if you just watch them for face value, not for hidden meaning.

I agree with ETM... I'm sure they're going to eventually have ads that say something once they've gained our trust. Right now they're sort of just mildly amusing and really long...

Why do we keep calling them spots? That last one was over 4 minutes long.

I watched again, still wondering what's going on in their mind. ??

JESUS CHRIST
that second ad is so utterly horrible it makes the first look competent, its just not at all funny, it doesn't connect with you and it says fucking nothing
