I would do some serious plundering now, since 90% of the city is empty.
and do some Urban Golfing.

so are hurricanes a new thing to that state?
has no one considered investing in an underground shelter thing?
it would be primetime to loot and retreat to the shelter and blame it all on gustav.
yanks - get your priorities right!
- underground shelter for storm surge? ah, doubt that'd work too welljkmohr
- yeah, you'd spell FAIL like this: DROWNTheBlueOne

I think they have their priorities straight oldelpaso. Underground shelters are not good for flood areas - instead they have prefab/modular housing. If it's blown away, it's easier to clean and easier to build again.

still cant loot though...
looting has got to be the bit that makes it all worthwhile.. surely
- has to be loot-balloons then. you loot a store then you're blown away to Arizona.********
- Arizona wtf? I meant Arkansas.********

Gustav is barely a hurricane now as he spins NW of Lafayette, LA with winds of 75 mph. Hurricane force winds wind diminsh overnight and all Hurricane Warnings are expected to be dropped later tonight as Gustav become a Tropical Storm. Bands of heavy showers and thunder storms can be expected overnight and in these bands winds could still gust to 40-50 mph. The flooding concern is diminishing, no major flooding is expected (except possibly in those areas with levee problems)
