I've had 2 dell laptops and the only problem is that one of the hds went to that crapper. cost about 70bucks to fix. this was after about 3 1/2 years of heavy use.

The Air is a good computer, only it is not for most of you. It is a huge misconception that every mac is supposed to please designers, run photoshop or illustrator smoothly and so on.
Air does great what it's meant to do: be light.

I got a 1.8Ghz Air and it runs CS3, Quark etc without fault. I do a lot of freelance work on it. It is my main Mac. I had to have a portable Mac to work remotely for my UK clients when I'm in Aus, NZ, Japan and Thailand.
It has performed faultlessly and I will not be swapping it back out for a MB Pro when I come back to the UK.
