that 3rd person talk is compleate bullshit.
Well, Mike Tyson thinks that it was a travesty of justice that Mike Tyson was locked up for so long.
I hate that. Use "I"

Use "I" if you really have to. Never 3rd person.
If possible, don't use either. Or try to use "I" or your name less. I would even go with point form sometimes, but obviously this is not always professional.
- I don't see how it'd be possible to write about what I do without using "I" or my name.jkmohr

neither. and try to make yourself sound like a superhero.
repeating your name only makes you sound like a weinerdog.

Writing like you're "I" implies that you're on yourself, like right on top of, but not behind your face. There's a temptation to write like "he" or third person, but then everybody thinks you're talking about somebody else, and you're the guy (or persons) behind the face but then you're also NOT NOTICED behind the face, because of that.
If for size you'd try 2nd (not 22nd) person, for instance, "You graduated in 1990 with really big arms and a gigantic wad of something disgusting stuck to your shoulders. You learned QuarkXPress for Technical Manuals before it fell off the monitor into the desk drawer. You have worked since 2002 as a mission control specialist at a Secret Ninja School." you'd then find that you are right on the top of the list (your resume,) as nobody's clear on who's behind the face but they know it might be their own self, and that could mean the future is talking. EVERYBODY LISTENS when the future is, or might be, talking.

only use "i" please. anything else is so pretentious and lame.
