I was in a meeting and client said she wanted a 'hygiene' navigation.
I looked blank.
She explained its the top most nav in a site (the littel words i.e myblog, your account etc)
Has anyone ever heard this before? or is she messed up?

Hygiene...maybe she misheard the word "primary" navigation at one point in her web understanding and just went with it.
they both have a "y", that's a start.

fuck that,
let her have her "hygiene nav"
and sell her "hygienic nav polish." tell her she needs to apply it at least twice a week to maintain minty freshness.
whille your at it see if she'll agree to "undercoating." explain that undercoating is big with web 2.0 and blogs.

dot, i think you may have something there.

Good thing you told me it's not real. I would've given her a blank stare and then would've asked her what the hell she meant.
Now I can prepare something in case it ever happens to me.

I would have just said, ok, no problem. That'll cost a wee bit extra but should be do-able. But then Im a complete charlatan who generally makes things up as I go along. How about a homogenous base-level navigation with 'chill factor'?
