So I am sick of their spam and Yahoo Small Business will let me register domains for $10 a year instead of $35.
Is there an easy way of switching registers?

So I guess Yahoo Small Business doesn't offer this.

Is there someone that does. I really would hate to use Go Daddy.

I don't know, maybe you can just move it to whoever (anyone new), and then go to Yahoo! Do you have your heart set on having everything under one umbrella?

I have my heart set on not paying $35/year.
- My hosting company doesn't charge me for it, but you'll get more bandwidth and disk space with Yahoo!dog_opus

You can move your domain name(s) to any register with out a problem. However some registers could charge for this feature and if your domain name is about to expire you will need to move it 2-3 weeks before the expire date or will be forced to renew it with your current register.
Godaddy are ok, they do SPAM the you to death but they are ok as a register had a lot of names with them and all was ok, just make sure when you move a name over or register a new name with any company to make sure that they don't sell you hosting or email accounts. Go daddy do that a lot and it's very annoying!
Do you have a hosting account at the moment? Or just the domain name? If you don't have hosting you could move your domain name over to your new host and that way your new hosting company will renew your domain name for you.

I use Dreamhost to host my web server. I know there have been mixed reviews on here about them but so far so good. I would prefer not manage my web domain registration and web hosting at the same place.
Anyone use Dreamhost to manage their domain?
- If you have an account with Dreamhost then that is a good option, email them and ask.PSYKHO

No but I know some people that host with them and they are happy about them. I use (mt) MediaTemple but some people think they are expensive... But if you get an account with them and move for domain name over then you pay 20$ a month and 5$ for the renewal of the domain name per year.
