How much do you think Eric Jordan charges

all relative to what you invoice at the end of day.. maybe he is charging $150 an hour, but then only billing 5 hours for a logo.

i charged that for a little while a few years ago, but it was only for a few days a month and for extremely dull corporate work.
basically the guy giving me the work was desperate but I had too much work on to do it, so I kept saying no and he'd say name your price, so i picked a ridiculous number to put him off but he said yes so I had to do it. REALLY dull work though. wouldn't do it again. money isn't everything.

I can see this working to the benefit of designer who doesn't care to make alterations to work. People like Paul Sahre who just assume not do the work at all then be fucked with yo-yo revision rounds with the client.

if he's good, then i don't see how it's not possible. i know freelance flash developers that charge at least that much hourly

I am sure that Alex Trochut, isn´t that much cheaper

We should all be making that much

I mean to say that they put the ala cart rate at a "painful premium" to discourage revisions.

i've been offered $140/hr to work at one of the local hi-tech firms as a full-time contractor. i didn't take it because i couldn't drop the projects i was in the middle of (besides the fact that the company isn't really known for being creative on the design front).
the rates in question aren't unheard of.
- Its not that they are not un heard of but just for design say a set of comps for a pitch 150 an hour is a lot.silentseven

its not uncommon to have 1 or 2 guys pulling "$140-$165/hr." in a big agency. had a friend who made around that as a temp (temp to perm) for nearly 6 months. no idea what he made after they hired him as perm though, im sure it was cut in half.
