Nice site for seeing where the race stands:

I would have no problem voting for Cheney if he were to run for president. He has sound business and management sense. Very smart man.
Then again, I hold intelligence in higher importance than most voters do. This is obvious given Obama's popularity due solely to his ability to give a good speech. Celebrity president, here we come!
- you don't even believe the bullshit you spoutDr_Rand
- ReaganMimio
- I see you watch TV. you must be smartspendogg

Did Obama really say he would look to his wife to help him make tough decisions as president?....wow.
- Ah! Just got your Republican party talking points email, eh?TheBlueOne
- What's wrong with that? I find the hating on his wife disgusting.ukit
- mccains wife stole fucking pharmies from a charity she worked for.mrdobolina
- lol @ BlueOne!designbot
- Do you honestly think she is qualified? Admit it, this is pretty sad.designbot
- oh shut the fuck up, he isn't going to consult his fucking wife, dummy.mrdobolina
- mrdobolina, didn't know that. Not saying McCains wife is any better. They are probably both pill-poppers...jk.designbot
- of course you didn't know that.
http://www.salon.com…mrdobolina - Thanks, but you can leave that sarcasm behind.designbot
- Dr_Rand0
is it because he's half black?
- sublocked0
is America that stupid that we can only have multiple choices A and B?
- do you honestly think the libertarians will win?mrdobolina
- at least one of the choices is pretty damn good--what are you hoping for, a god?Dr_Rand
- no but that's not the point. why should i vote for an organization that doesn't represent what i believe?sublocked
- remember all those morons who voted for nader in 2000?mrdobolina
- Would you prefer the Tories and Labour?Mimio
- so do you all just "settle" in the other aspects of your life? i feel sorry for you if you do.sublocked
- Or Perot in 1992TheBlueOne
- //No we quit playing and whine instead of compromising.Mimio

- I'm realistic.mrdobolina
- keep lockstepping with the status quosublocked
- sublocked0
not that "they're both the same", but that they're not different enough from each other.
what's wrong with a 3rd choice?
- it's not going to happen?mrdobolina
- Nothing, there are more than two choices. last time I voted there 5+ parties on the ballot.Mimio
- why not?sublocked
- Libertarian, Reform, Socialist etc.Mimio
- ukit0
Just like there was no difference between Gore and Bush, right?;)
- And Cheney was added to Bush for his "experience". Yes. That worked out rather well.TheBlueOne
- Georges0
its amazing that it only took 7 years to come to this.
dictators around the world rejoice, they've seen how you can and should do it.

It's easy to forget that you are not voting for a single person. but an entire government. An Obama government would mean a whole new group of people, a new generation taking over every single branch of the U.S. government. Young people with new ideas. Looking at the people around McCain, a McCain government would mean little more than replacing the guy at the top. Maybe you like McCain more than Bush, but do you really like how the Republican gov has run thing the last 8 years?
A lot of Republicans are saying that Obama is a "socialist," and its true that he comes from the left part of the party, even though his beliefs are not close to socialism. But in his temperarment, he is incredibly reasonable and always looking for compromise, which I think is a good formula for getting things done. He ran the most efficient, no BS campaign out of the three candidates, McCain's campaign overspent itself and crashed and burned in 2007, he pretty much was handed the nomination because all the other options were so bad. Hillary showed an incredible sense of entitlement and lack of planning and failed to anticipate Obama. Out of the three, Obama has shown the best managerial skills and the best judgement.

Write-in vote.
i'm voting Barr / Root (Libertarian Party) on principle.
Obama / McCain are just two different heads of the same hydra.
Our two party system is fucked.
- you see no difference?mrdobolina
- It becomes obvious too, when election after election neither candidate is a good representative for you.designbot
- It's not that there's no difference, just that there's not enough of a difference. It's been that way for decadeslocustsloth
- its like being offered coke and pepsi every day when what you really want is some water.sublocked
- I think I am with you sublocked....headed down that same path. Libertarian party is prob the way to go.designbot
- I hope we don't get McCain because of this.mrdobolina
- Libertarian Party is pro-choice.Mimio
- Your right Mimio.....sigh....an... the plot thickens.designbot

Seriously how hard is it to look this shit up?
- The fact that Civil rights is first, and Veteran's rights are last just lost my vote for Obama.nicnichols
- How dare he alphabatize!locustsloth
- You're kidding right?TheBlueOne
- lol!nicnichols
- A perfect example of seeing what you WANT to see, Mr. nicholslocustsloth

- I think Obama is using Gotham.TheBlueOne
- Sorry. Sarcasm is difficult to read sometimeslocustsloth
- hedge0
I agree with nicnichols here. I've been waiting to hear the left's justification for about a year and a half now. Not one democrat has come through.
- that must be reassuring to himDr_Rand
- Not you hedge?
http://www.reuters.c…
Always the iconoclast, eh?TheBlueOne - ..actually its the smartest thing he's said yet.nicnichols
- Instead of waiting to hear someone tell you, why not look up the information for yourselfSigDesign

We know one specific, Obama is for abortion...including partial birth abortion. Oh sorry he stated he was not "pro abortion", just "pro-choice" as if there is a difference.
- There is a difference. Most people don't actually like abortions.Jaline
- So what's your point? Obviously "not liking abortions" isn't a strong enough reason to vote against them for Obama. Speak with your actions.designbot
- with actions...not words.designbot
- My point is that there is a difference between pro-choice and pro-abortion.Jaline
- please explain....because I don't see much of a difference. By being pro-choice you are saying abortion is ok with you.designbot
- In specific situations, yes. Pro-choice = believing that each person has a right to choose and make a decision.Jaline
- For me, it has to be within a specific time period or for a good reason.Jaline
- I respect your view, but the problem is that such circumstances are not enforced. Voting pro-choice means you are voting for abortion in general and not specific cases or circumstances.designbot
- ..voting for abortion in general and not specific cases or circumstances.designbot
- is that really the most important issue to you?mrdobolina
- btw, I don't care if pat roberts becomes president, abortions won't go away.mrdobolina
- that is an infantile argument. I've never met a pro-abortion person. pro-choice is simply that.monkeyshine
- mrdobolina, "life" in general is probably the most important issue to me. Most things pale in comparison. And I definitely consider the Iraq war to be a "life" issue also.designbot
- ....consider the Iraq war to fall under this category as well.designbot
- Nobody is pro-abortion. Overpopulation and current orphaned kids should be a concern tooSigDesign
- over-population? this is a complete farce....give me some facts.designbot
- nicnichols0
Honestly I think I misspoke on this.. I wasn't looking to bash anyone, just some examples of why people see him as the 'Hope'.. I am sure he more then qualified, and I am sure he has the best intentions..
...looks like I need to keep the politics to the political sites....
- Mimio0
Why look for specifics when you reject the broadest ideals of his platform?
- He has broads on his platform? Oh he's got my vote now!nicnichols
