rules are:
1. car must be a rental (word on the street is one team has a ice cream truck)
2. no highways
3. must be able to find the randomly placed check points
4. costumes / themes are encouraged
5 must document entire triprace starts tonight at midnight & there are 60 teams involved. any advice out there as to best route to montreal &or events for the night? there's a massive party in some warehouse up there but i'm always down to find the hidden gems in any city.

we have a 70's vw van - 4 wheel roller skates & some vintage gym suit outfits. also a waterski tote rope to documents someone getting pulled by the car

yea that's one obstacle we are a bit worried about - heard the boarder has gotten tough & one guy is missing his passport... odds are we are getting pulled out of the car

i drove up to montreal from nyc last year. customs was a bitch.
no passport, you're not getting in. my brothers buddy had an assault on his record in the states. they wouldnt let him in. luckily he flew...

Awww man, I read "Rental Car Alley Race" and was expecting a recap of two cars zooming down an alley destroying each other and everything in their path and narrowly avoiding police.
Trip sounds fun, but this thread really let me down.

cross at the smaller border crossings.
Rouses Point would be a better bet but I can't see how you can avoid taking the highway to Montreal

I find Canadian customs are bigger pricks than US. Female customs officers also seem to have a huge chip on their shoulder. Your buddy will need his passport.

- Doubt it. Guess its his problem once he gets there...dirtydesign

"When entering Canada from the United States, U.S. citizens must show either a U.S. passport or other proof of U.S. citizenship - such as an original or certified birth certificate together with photo identification. U.S. citizens entering Canada from a third country must have a valid passport. A visa is not required for U.S. citizens for a stay up to 180 days."
