Judging by the site design alone, this is no visual fiesta, it looks like the sort of event to give a royal swerve, it sounds like a weekend of coding, SEO, and a distaste all things interesting I'd guess!
An extract from the site that made me chuckle...
"We're currently expecting 107 people over the course of the weekend"...look out Leeds!
:D
- 107 people? Not just "100" or not "over 100 people". Far too precise for my liking.ian

I went to Barcamp in Manchester a couple of months back.
It's a good idea and organised quite well. You don't have to speak if you don't have anything to say and if you want to present something that might be of interest you can. It's pretty much what you make of it.
I must admit in terms of meeting people I didn't get that much out of it but I don't know if that was just because everyone else there was too busy showing off their iPhones and blogging between talks to actually interact with the other humans.
If you're a designer, (based on the manchester one) you won't get much out of the meet up.
- yes if you're on your own it is like trying to get into a club no one wants you in loltrooper
