WE ARE PHI
Introducing you to my clothing label 1.618 (or WeArePhi). All the designs are based on the golden ratio. The site is working, adding more content as I write this post, but so far we've sold extremely well through one forum and are looking to expand. Sold about 36 tshirts over the last four days.
You can pay by credit card, paypal or bank transfer (setting that up now).
Suggestions and feedback would be great. Any comments as the site builds would be appreciated. Of course if you'd like to place an order you can do so via the site.
Each tshirt is printed on American Apparel FJ 2001 for a fine fit and with plastisol inks for a high-quality finish. Each tee comes in a gift box, individually numbered limited edition. I've had nothing but positive comments about the quality of the tshirt and design. We're also on Facebook and have a Twitter page.
Best,
Alex

I honestly hate it. I think it's total shit. I would NEVER wear crap l like that.
It looks totally ill fitting an'all.
Fucking drab. Looks like an iron-on-transfer you get out of Sugar-puffs that you stuck on a grey tee.
Yucktastic.

- Ah didn't realise you could do this. Cool man, not asking you to buy one. The quality is great though, you can't fault it.
wearephi - Mate. The quality looks absolute WANK. The material, the CUT, the print... all of itkuzzAAAAM
- Sure thing.wearephi
- And seriously, try a tighter fitting tee on the chick. You'll sell WAY more. And get the waist tucked in...kuzzAAAAM

What's 1.618?
- wearephi0
KuzzAAAAM, haha.
It's screenprinted using plastisol inks. Nice quality. Fair enough if you don't like them, but the quality is great and the tees are American Apparel.

1.618 is the numerical representation of Phi or Φ. It's all the same thing.

I'm finding the photography quite bland (on the website) and unrelenting (how many images do you need to show a simple T-shirt?).
With so many designed, limited edition t-shirts out there why should I buy yours? (your site communicates nothing that would make me buy).
As for the T-shirt design, i'm finding the graphic too big on the actual shirt
- Cool. I don't have my Nikon here so I had to use a shitty one. I'm not asking you to buy my product, just asking feedback about the site and designs. It's selling well enough as it is.

Will all your shirts be designed about the same concept? φ / the golden ratio / 1:1.61803399?
- about should be aroundneverblink
- Yeah, the ratio of rhombi to diamonds in that design is 1.618. All designs are based on the golden ratio.

Needs some explanation of why that design is actually based on the Ratio
- The site is being worked on right now. There's an about section etc, just need to upload it.wearephi
- Perhaps you should have waited then!!uncle_helv
- Nah, I like to jump in early. It's getting it ready with your feedback.wearephi
- Modern - It's called Grids ya dope, they're based off of Golden Section ratios.tommyo

fo what its work phi - the designs is nice
- kuzzAAAAM0
Actually, to be fair, i might wear one to bed... as like a pyjama top. As long as you can get two for a fiver.
- PSYKHO0
Maybe if the graphic was smaller?
- neverblink0
It's a fresh idea to setup a shirt-shop with a concept behind all the designs.
- kuzzAAAAM0
The graphic looks like a giant sploge, like a snowman has just spewed onto it. You look from a far and its like "holy blue vomit batman!"
What you're doing here is thinking up a gimmick (golden ratio) and running with it, without any care or consideration for style or fashion sense.
Try deconstructivising the pattern see if that helps - tho to be honest, i think its basically beyond redemption.
And the SHINE of the pattern looks totally tacky.
- Dude, link me to some of these amazing tshirts you speak of. Do they come with a Faberge egg too?wearephi
