hey everyone. today has been a disaster. one waste of time after another.
im trying to get this logo down for a client. i cant find the Craptastic filter the original "designer" used, so if anyone could point it out, or maybe give some insight on how to re-create this mess. it would be greatly appreciated.

ugh, i wish. this was a craigslist barter for some car tint
shes already rejected 4 tshirt designs and claimed them as half assed- Tell her you're dealing with a quarter-assed logo, so she's getting double what she deserveslocustsloth
- hah! i love itbeingdevious_v2
- "they're not half bad. They're all bad"Dr_Rand
- is it worth it for car tint?sintaxera

What's with the half of a letter at the bottom of it?
- digdre0
he has to recreate it.
- beingdevious_v20
it says "mobile window tinting" i removed it, so as to not create confusion in which effect im trying to do.

it looks like a cloud fliter that is beveled and embossed with highlights and shadows.

looks like
- expand type 20 px
- fill yellow
- stroke with lighter yellow
- radial blur with zoom option
- duplicate layer
- grow about 10%
- fill with darker yellow
- outer glow with lighter yellowgood luck
- attempting now...beingdevious_v2
- and no matter what you do , more that likely it will not look exactly like the original.morilla

i forgot the vomit filter.

- and what kind of car do you drive?Llyod

My God.
Do you even have the font they used? Just tell them that without access to the original file, you can only approximate the original design, not duplicate it.
- Pristina, yep, went through that mess last week.beingdevious_v2

Wait, does it only need to be the same size? If so, shouldn't be too hard to separate it from the background. No need to recreate from scratch.
- probably needs it to do some printJG_LB
- unfortunately, this is going to need to be sized for tshirt prints.
though, luckily, i found a guy to do digital prints, so i dont have to worry about screen printing and vector. it can all be rasterbeingdevious_v2

I think this is a great opportunity for you.
Its a shitty logo offer to redesign a better one. :)Everyone wins in the end.
- i wish it was that easy. i'd do a new logo for her in a heartbeat, because she needs it to grow the business. but, she just had new cards printed and paid someone else to re-do the website.
shes stuck on this logo.beingdevious_v2

- Llyod0
tell the birch you can't find it

tried the radial blur/zoom and got no where. the original has some wierd pull to the center i can get for the life of me. im thinking this was done with one of the Kais power tools filters from 1997.

or rebuild it in AI
- beingdevious_v20
and yet, i wish i could rebuild it that way. she wants the text to be "ChickTint.com" instead of "Radical Ray Rejection"

your not going to be able print that outline glow on a t-shirt anyhow. at least not for cheap.
