fixies are great at velodroms
brakes are great everywhere else.i like bikes, i also like watching people stack when their fixies dont stop them in time

This is the closest pic I can get to my '96 Avanti Moto AFX... it's pretty damn heavy compared to the new ones... and it has a crack in 2 parts after a smash sent me to hospital for 2 weeks :(
Having had hydraulic v-brakes and disc brakes, i have to say the concept of no brakes gives me the willies. I could get over 75km/h when slipstreaming a truck, and fucknose how you'd stop in a situation like that...

i think its funny how much time people waste getting mad about fixed gear bikes. Its like Jocks and pick up trucks, slutty girls with tube tops, or hippies with hacky-sacks. Everyone has their thing....leave it be.
