Do you have a website up kinobe? All kidding aside, I'd love to see the work of a guy whose main problem is how to quit at Attik:D

honesty is the best policy

I see the dilemma. "Quitting" is not something that's fun to explain, and shouldn't be the definition for someone leaving a job to pursue new experiences. In this line of work, it's absolutely necessary. Most likely your director moved through a handful of jobs as well and would support you if you were brutally honest and respectful. I don't get the sense that you are actually unhappy with working at Attik. How much time have you put in there?
- not alot, like the job like i say but want to go out and try something dif as well as dealing with dif clientelkinobe

Are you that socially retarded that you don't know how to look someone you should respect in the eye and tell them honestly what you feel?
Don't bother with the letter 'til you've actually spoken to them, then formalise in writing if needs be - what the fuck is wrong with you, boy? Jesus.

I wouldn't worry to much about leaving - they all think your a cock anyway

quitting always feels awkward. Good luck kinobe
- Of course it feels 'awkward' - but, godfuck, if it's the right thing to do, it's the right thing to do - that's it.detritus
- you talk a big-game nairn, yet you wont even meet me for a drink...mmm....kuzzAAAAM
- I'm afraid of your penis, I won't lie. Tried that kratom yet?detritus

- Not yet, no - that's all got a bit mixed up - (friend said he'd got some.. hadn't) I'll be ordering some next week..detritus

Write in English or GTFO.

P'raps I come off a little assholish there (hahaha, 'perhaps') - but what I mean is, if you're making the move for your own reasons, which you believe in, then that's all that is important. Frankly, the company you work for is bigger than you, and ultimately they don't really care what you do - you're replaceable. So all this fretting that you're putting yourself through is a product either of your own arrogance ("I'm so important.. what will they do?") or your own lack of conviction. If it's the latter, well... you should think harder about what you're doing.
Anyone worth their salt will inevitably find themselves resigning at least once or twice through there career - as has already been pointed out by someone here - in all likelihood, your boss has too, so they'll understand. Heck, they'll probably respect you for it.

think the topic has turned more into where i work than my situation.
i wasnt asking out of arrogance.........
i was always going to talk to the director but wanted to know the best way about wording it whilst still coming out of the meeting with the idea that i havent burnt my bridges. so not having the balls isnt an issue. its simply about creating the best outcome for methe job is fine {other than the fact that i work with some stupid FUCKS} i just want 2 move on and have a bigger and better opportunity.
wanted to know how other people tackled the same problem
- omgitsacamera0
Well of course you're going to have stupid fucks everywhere you go. Deal with it.
- suppose i'm just pissed off cos i know i can other peoples jobs better with my eyes closedkinobe

dude, there's a never a "right time" to quit.
Departments are ALWAYS in the middle of projects, deadilnes around the corner, targets to meet.
No matter how amicably you do it, you know that most of the time your giving your team a headache - and as part of that team, you'll prolly feel sorta guilty/awkward or woteva even if you hate the place.
I say have the letter prepared. Walk in with it. Quickly explain the situation to him verbally and then hand the letter. That's how i do it.
Just out of respect to i'd have your reasons memorises - just keep them positive "i've been offered" or "the time has come"

- So they probably know you're going anywayPromotionalUseOnly
