Hi all,
I am embarking on a logo design for a client, at this stage I am just sketching some ideas.
Currently I have this:
Just a rough sketch, the clients names consists of the letters c and f, I wanted to try and tie in the two letters as a symbol, with the logo-type to the right (signified by the three lines.
Now, I know this is a very rough sketch, but I was wondering if anyone can recommended any fonts that would get me started with the logotype, I am considering illustrating the c and f, but think that an existing font would be easier, and, with complexitites of typography.... better formed.
So, to conclude this lenghty post, can anyone recommend any fonts that would set up a nice c and f logotype, the added benefit of using an exsiting font is that I can compliment the font with the full company name on the right.
Appreciate any help.
Thanks

I just value other designers opinion, true though, the way I have worded it does read like outsourced proposal :)

maybe if you're doing a hand drawn icon, make a little hand-drawn name/address/contact for it as well?

I think IMPACT BOLD would suit the job, as I know so much about the job in hand.

What is it for? What does the client do? Did they tell you a style they are looking for?

They are a fundraising company...
sorry folks, new it would piss people off this kind of request. I think the lenghty thread didn't do me any justice.
Thanks for the advice though, I will probably illustrate the letter forms then go from there.

Just an idea, the CF would look a bit boring on its own. Want a about a form of symbol next to it? Incorporate that into the CF letters?
- Thats really good that, put I think in order to keep it simple, the full company name would have to be scrapped, otherwise, might get a little busy.
Although, would probably depend on the size, weight and colour of each object.leewilson78 - May I ask what kind of fundraising company it is? You could use their concept in the creation of the symbol?PSYKHO

maybe pickup a type catalogue or typography book and sketch those letters a little closer to the style you think is appropriate for your client.
