I spent the day in smoke-filled Yosemite... you couldn't see El Capitaine until you were about a 1/2 mile from it... sucked... :(
... but... BUT... I did wander around a bunch of Sequoia's for about 2 hours... just mind-numbing... still...in... awe...

no no!!!! I LOVE BEARS now... I could have pet a bear cub today in the wild... then it hit me how 'stupid' that would have been... so I didn't... (I'm sure it's Mom was only feet away... and wasn't a person in a bear suit... )
... I also love deer now too... this itty bitty doe and her two fawns literally walked about 400 meters (10 feet away w/me but parallel) down a foot path...
... it wasn't the first time I've been that close to wild animals in State Parks... but it was extra... um... 'cool'? cuz I was wandering through 3,000 year old massive trees at the same time. :)
