oh man, that had to be one of the best episodes. Favorite part was when Don invited Roger to get drinks and he was started to say "it's 10 in the morning" and then it cut abruptly to them sitting in the bar. Little things like that crack me up.
I like how all their problems in this one revolved around them getting wasted, instead of anything serious.

That final episode was genius

Oh boy - what a turn .. I'm wondering whether Pete Campbell's still going to land Don in the shit. He was blatantly talking himself round to idea of doling out some kind of shady retribution, while he was sat on the couch cradling his wife.
Did Joan actually have the abortion? 'Life goes on...' ... could Joanie be speaking literally as well as figuratively?
No Peggy in this episode - is this a first?
When is Roger going to spill the beans re. Lucky Strike? Will Lane come back to a bankrupt agency?
So many questions ..

I lost interest 10 minutes into the first episode.
- Yet still you clicked at least 5 times to get here and post.MrOneHundred

"No body knows what's wrong with themselves, when everyone else can see it right away."
- Loved Draper's face when this was said. Like he wasn't sure whether to be insulted, genuinely surprised she said something intelligent, or realizing this is truepastpastdue
- something intelligent, or something that was actually true.pastpastdue
- yep, totally .. was a good scene.lukus_W
- I think that's the big difference now .. he's starting to realise that he's fallible - he doesn't buy his own bullshit.lukus_W
- I suspect he has always known he's fallible. But now he feels everyone else knows too.ETM
- Yeah, could be true .. but it's always quite easy to be delusional if you think other people are buying it.lukus_W

I totally didn't understand the peggy peptalk. It's so vague it could be about anything.
"People buy things, like you and me, and then something terrible happens, and the whole way they see themselves changes... You understand that, and that's very valuable."
or something to that effect. I have no idea.

Don went to his source of wisdom and inspiration, California and everything became clear to him.
Note how he didn't lie to kids about his name on the wall, how he was open with Megan about the Faye situation (she obviously knew, being his secretary). He's found solution to all problems in being true to people he cared about. The season ends in a funny way because on one hand it's the same situation he ridiculed Roger for and on the other you can see the new chick is wholly different class and from what we saw, a good person to boot.
Dumping Faye was on the cards, this woman was trouble in the long run. I don't see how marrying a superambitious PhD-wielding professional was a better choice than marrying an ambitious secretary. Faye was a female Don. And really, was Faye an "artistic person", huh? :D
It was presented to you clearly: Faye: stressed out, almost shaking all the time, loses temper, terrible with kids; Megan: angelic.I guess next season starts with Don and Megan having a baby, so the part of weirdness of her still being a secretary will be spared for us.
I predict it will be about Don—who just found his true self—learning that his true self is being a Dick, name pun intended.
BTW, he just run away from women who knew his past, anyone taking bets if he's going to share the truth with the new wife? For those complaining about Mad Men turning into a soap opera, have you seen seasons 1, 2 and 3?
