ffffound ffffrequency

how does ffffound add images? it seemed like a lot would get added before pretty quickly (images jumping 5-10 places each page i browse), but since i started adding images last week, i haven't seen one of them uploaded. do they just pop up a new one ever 15 minutes or something since they have this seemingly endless queue of images coming in?
p.s. i do not have an invite and no one else does either.

yeah, i thought that was the whole point of the site, but have not seen any of my additions, thus becoming curious of how they post new images to the main feed.

although, now that i think about it, that makes no sense. if the front is for popular stuff, how are those images even viewed in the first place? images also don't shift in order toward the front as they become more popular. that would also mean there is never new content toward the first pages, which would make the site pointless.

i'm new to found too, just been tagging for now and not had time to look into how it works. so if i add some of my own images, theres no way to find them? not that that matters. tis a strange one but i love it

sometimes the same image gets posted more than once with whole different sets of followers

there's a 'my recommendations' link that shows images posted by others users. most of them are not popular yet. or you can find unposted images seeing some posts of some nice profiles; so you can add to your ffffound too to try to make it go to the top.
but i dunno how popular it must be to be a top one...

there might be some kind of algorhythm thingie going... for instance, I just added a few images from one of my "recent followers" and they showed up immediately on "top"... I've noticed this a lot

there has to be a certain amout of followers for that image to show up on the front page.
