Hi guys, i have a little text link at the bottom of a site i am working on which i want to link to the w3 page that will confirm it is xhtml transitional... what is the html for this, basically so it checks the referring site.

Why the constant need to feel validated?

Did you copy and paste in your HTML code?
- yep, bit i thought id seen the link but with something about 'referrer' in itJamesBoynton

the graphic will always say the page vaildates. might be wrong but i don't think it's a clever bit of code that says "this page doesn't validate' if the refferred link does't validate. maybe that's not what you're asking. what was the question again?
- The graphic is just a static image. If your code breaks, the image doesn't change.jamble

- Thats the one I am talking about, the URL points from the page you are on to see if its validated.PSYKHO

Yhea once your code validates you get a pretty little button to add to your site, and once click it will take you to the w3 validator page.

Cheers PSYKHO, yeah... not having the button, just a text link.
Cheers guys.

Ahh but you will only get the button once your code is validated, but you can just use the link but if your code does not validate you will go to the w3 error page and you will see the "This page is not Valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional!" and that will be pointless.
- It validates! Hurrah! Now... how do i get back to being a print designer?JamesBoynton
