let the designer ego stroke commence.
http://mtvengineroom.com/I will be watching to figure out what digital artists I should be hating, or hating on. And yes, I did apply and was denied.

Based on that site design, the "digital artists" being represented are going to be fucking disgusting.
That said, I know a few people who are mega-talented that were denied.

I would think the best of the best already have plenty of work.
I wonder if the cast will be filled with people who want to be Michel Gondry, and thought "Resevoir Dogs" is a classic to be studied ad infinitum.- *not that I'm cynical or nuthinharlequino
- i did not like resevoir dogs7point34

I bet I could be on this show. Not only am I supremely talented but I am also highly photogenic. I make love to the camera and it makes love back.

^ Lloyd is the original source of "Goatse," for precisely this reason.

Found a list of the contestants and their respective websites. MTV is still on crack evidently.

It's a new tv show sponsored by hp. I think it's a pretty good way of getting young designers exposed but the cash was so high that alot of mid level designers or already up and coming designers entered into it. I did, I got denied :) . I was wary about it when I signed up, but that cash is worth it. I'll be a watching it. Hopefully they didn't pick lame artists. from what I could see on that lists from that guys blog site is that they did do a good job of picking great talent. Best of luck MTV, I hope the show is worth watching.

wow HP is the sponsor? i think it's futile to have them working on pcs. but then again when was mtv last relevant? 1985?
- dbloc0

You know honestly I started on pcs for years. I love macs for the operating system not their hardware. But you know I tend to agree with you MJG just because in the past 2 years macs with the intel cores are really making a comeback for being a more stable better hardware system then their pc counter parts for design use. I think that wasn't always the case. plus a 3 year warranty with a mac store support in every mall give me a break no pc has that. You have to send it off to a factory across the country and hope to god you dont have to fight with a company that may disapear before your warranty is up.
