Well guys, thanks for your advice. She went with the 07 Passat 2.0T.
Smoke grey exterior, black leather interior, it's pretty sweet. I was jealous the whole drive home as I was stuck driving her old Hyundai Elantra back into the city and the damn thing has a problem with the front right wheel that sounds like an airplane propeller.
It's going to take some getting used to, so many digital gizmos, I mean that car doesn't even have keylocks! I'm expecting her to not want me to drive it much by myself very often, I use her Hyundai all the time for errands, band practice, etc. but hey, I'd probably be the same way. Hell, she'll probably stop staying the night so that she doesn't have to park on the street! :D (She's got a garage in her building).
