I am going ultra-long the Chinese market via FXI, JRJC, ZNH, am ultra-long U.S. financials via UYG, am waiting for a pullback for U.S. airlines (DAL, UAUA,LCC), I like the charts of TSO, RDN, CIT, NWK and LOVE the chart of INP (Indian market). I am looking for Indian stocks tonight and want to buy INP - What are your pics?
I've been looking for a spike in the VIX,VXO,VXN as well. Then I started noticing how virtually EVERYONE on every board, chatroom, media outlet etc. is waiting for the VIX to spike to exactly 30 before re-entering the market. I've never seen so many people picking a single number on the VIX for re-entry. Really strange. Hell, Bob Pisani has mentioned 30 on the VIX repeatedly over the past week. Time to buy?

A) I'm still not positive you are sincerely asking for help
B) You jump around a lot in your question, moving from foreign to domestic ETFs to individual airline companies to the volatility index.
C) Are you going to be consistently trading, monitoring, and taking profits on a regular basis? Buy and hold will not likely work in this market and certainly not work if the VIX rallies.

When did you get into UYG, last week? then you must enjoyed a nice small rally.i am staying away from the financial for now since the earning report season can make the market swing in any direction. for that matter, i am not adding any position to anything for the next week or so and figure out my strategy from now to December.
INP might be an interesting pick but i am a bit worried about india's inflation and how that might impact their market.
i am looking for a good pick in alternative energy sector but many of the companies in that sector aren't actually making money yet and will have a long way to go, not to mention it can be heavily influenced by a politics. I might pick up some PBW though...
the market is treating me really shitty this year all in all so i need to make a huge come back in the next 5mo.

Something strikes me as odd in the way you've phrased that. A position is clearly defined as equity in a specific, individual asset (usually a stock). Also, you're not buying or selling anything until December? Don't buy and hold, my friend. Not in this market.
