that's a sad pic for those of us who enjoy the domestication of the canine species. To others it's probably disgusting or maybe even delicious looking; who knows?
But yes, that is a sad pic to me. I also feel like a piece of shit when I see pigs and cows in livestock trucks on the highway, but I'll be damned if I don't love a bacon cheeseburger. such a catch 22

Kids in the UK aren't allowed to turn their nose up at non-english cuising for fearing of offending peope, but the Chinese are taking dog OFF the menu in China ? I think I am offended on behalf of the chinese at them being offended that I might not like it. I think.
Offence bollocks. If you don't like the fact that they serve dog meat in China, don't go. If you don't like chinese food and you're an english kid, that's fine too.

Yea, like eating bottomfeeders like prawns and lobster in the past was deemed to be disgusting, so is dog. Im not saying that Im gonna start eating grayhound or anything but each culture is different and as such we should respect it not just look down on it like they're fucking barbarians.

There are many thousands of Chinese restaurants around in the UK and everyone has their favourite dish, but only in China itself do chefs specialise in a range of slightly more unusual delicacies.
The dish in front of me is grey and shiny.
"Russian dog," says my waitress Nancy.
"Big dog," I reply.
"Yes," she says. "Big dog's penis..."
We are in a cosy restaurant in a dark street in Beijing but my appetite seems to have gone for a stroll outside.
Nancy has brought out a whole selection of delicacies.
They are draped awkwardly across a huge platter, with a crocodile carved out of a carrot as the centrepiece.
Nestling beside the dog's penis are its clammy testicles, and beside that a giant salami-shaped object.
"Donkey," says Nancy. "Good for the skin..."
She guides me round the penis platter.
"Snake. Very potent. They have two penises each."
I did not know that.
