Ok, so i am looking to paint my office at home and am having a hard time making a decision on what color I should paint it. Right now I am looking at a Slate type color. My desk is black and I have a lot of items that are blue. Any Ideas?

what do you do for a living? For example trying to color-correct photos surrounded by non-neutral colored walls could be a problem.

Do you like bright colours? Otherwise, stick with neutrals.
