Do the majority of you have $500 - $1000 deductibles when it comes to having a medical procedure (MRI in my case) done?
This is per year too...so next year I'll also have to pay $1000 out of my pocket.

( Oooh thank god for the appalling NHS )

Yup. It's a joke. Health Care is becoming like Dental Care...almost useless.

Yep. I may just cancel my work insurance and get a personal plan. How ridiculous...I just had to cancel my MRI because I can't afford it.

I recently discovered, by way of a co-worker, that having a cancerous mole removed is "cosmetic" and not covered under some plans.

I have a personal plan. The difference was: Work $800/ mth, Personal $344/ mth. By the way I have a wife and 2 kids.

mine is $3000/year. so basically i pay for everything if i go in until i hit that $3k mark each year.

healthcare deductible? what's this all about?

does it act as a medical insurance for accidents / heinous problems like cancer / tumor / etc?
