I have a 17" macbook pro intel core duo running leopard and since I got it ( 5 months ago ) airport is extremely unstable.
Anyone else having airpot issues on their mac book pro?

Yeah, I've had probs with it too - it can't maintain a stable connection. So for example, it can't stream any video as it doesn't seem to be able to keep the bandwidth up.
Saw on the apple discussions a few problems with intel macs and airport, not sure if there was ever a working solution though.

Try this, i did a writeup on my blog regarding it and have had some success. Spread the word because it does seem to be working for most people that give it a try.

Try setting the wifi protocol on the Mac to the exact one that your airport express/extreme is set to.
I had problems using the b/g compatible setting - but worked spot on when I set both to use a g only protocol.

hey.
It seems to be wo rking fine now, Im not entirely sure what I did, but Im sure I have done it before. ANyhow the important thing is that it works and Im not going to touch a single button, in fear of it screwing up again.
Going to read through that blog AP. cheers!
