Definitely hitting up NYC in November, finally what I've been waiting for, for so long! Motion graphics and some of the industry's finest at one location. I've been wanting to make the leap into mogfx for quite some time but always get side tracked, this should certainly keep me focused!

Digital Kitchen's studio is right down the street from me. Sometimes I walk by and peer in to try to see if there's something cool going on in there, but it's always just really dark.

DK is pretty badass, I'd try to take a peek too, or maybe I'd actually just walk into the studio and be obnoxious ;)

Oh, how did I miss this. Getting into it as well, maybe you'd like to do a collab sometime. Lucky!

I wonder if any of these asshats who put together these conferences ever thought of inviting female graphic designers to speak????
They always seem to pick the old standard design burnouts (brand new school, mk12, H Curtis, Digital Kitchen, etc...). You can easily see their stuff online as most all of these peeps have been around since flash 2 days.
- agree, for he most part.Douglas
- Agree. FITC is amazingly inspirational, some female speakers on the bill would be great.barbara

- I'd love to see more females, but realistically, how many of them are out there doing mind blowing work? Tali Krakowsky from Imaginary Forces is one of them I see hit the scenes regularly.beside

I won tickets for it. Monday afternoon looks good.

I have to say though, I find that motion graphics conferences in particular have very little to say and are often bad speakers. You end up seeing a big screen portfolio presentation and learning very little. Perhaps it has something to do with the majority of their work being so advertising/commercial based.

I remember reading an article about Nagi Noga, probably one of the most unique designer/visionaries of our time (rip), who complained about how incredibly tough it was for her to be a designer and how she had to fight for tooth and nail to get all her work through... there are lots of talented female designers on this board and else where who really deserve to get top billing over the standard industry hacks. Plus, it looks like PAUSE is going to be throwing an afterparty at Madame X, too bad it will be a sausage fest too, (maybe you should all just head over to the Chelsea and hit a leather bar while you're out partying...)
- man i'm corrosive today, I think I drank too much green tea...robotron3k
- bns, mk12, dk, buck = standard industry hacks?Chief
