paypal will get the money from you - this has happened to me with a large order. With ebay you can file a complaint if you haven't received the item by the next day! All you need to do if they say it hasn't arrived is file a lost or damaged Royal Mail form. The systems crazy!
- Which takes 3 months apparently. It's stupid. I send the bloody thing, it's not my fault is hasn't arrived yet!Raniator

It was sent AirSure as far as I'm aware, but the receipt says Signed for International...

keep us posted so others know when to avoid paypal.
In my dealings with them - if you are calm and simply ask to verify things with a manager you should get someone (somewhat) intelligent on the phone. [now that they've switched to india for support im not sure about this]- Paypal is really leaving open, an opprotunity for another credit card processor, at least one for creatives and hobbiest.
We should get together and make us a little co-opMachuse

Did you specifically mention anywhere how long it takes to deliver the item? I know you're apparently not responsible for that, but...
I had to file a dispute with someone because it took well over 3 weeks for an item to reach my house, and usually it shouldn't take more than 2 weeks (especially if it says so on their web site). Before I filed the dispute I sent them 3-4 emails and they never responded. Anyway, I received my item a few days after I did that and I canceled the dispute.
I think it's a bit of an overreaction for the buyer to file a dispute without contacting you first.

Well this is the thing. I didn't specifically state how long it would take to get to them - she said she's had stuff from the UK delivered to her before and it took no longer than a week.
She did contact me first, asking for the tracking number which I provided. I apologised profusely, and I saw an email from her this morning asking if I had chased it up yet because it still hasn't arrived and after that noticed an email from Paypal saying she has started a dispute!
I've replied explaining myself and being very apologetic etc... I'll have to wait and see what happens next.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that in her dispute message she put something like 'he has ceased all correspondence with me..." blah blah. What a cow... she asked for the tracking number which I provided, send me a message presumably yesterday which I didn't see until this morning because of the time difference (and therefore didn't give me chance to reply) and opened the dispute.
Miserable bitch.
- Yup, that's pretty unreasonable. Hopefully she gets her item soon and stops the dispute.Jaline
- you have the email as proof so that should help, care to give her details out so we can send shitty emails to her?FallowDeer
- I was going to ask what that website is where you can add peoples email addresses and they get hammered with spamRaniator

They are definitely being unreasonable and probably never bought anything from overseas before. Or at the very least from a "person" as opposed to a company.
Shit takes time. Especially if you're sending in tubes, haha.
- Well I'm glad people agree with me. And yeah, it's a tube. Big fat fucker too.Raniator
