are the people who were so gung ho for Bush/Cheney in 2000 and 2004 have no clue as to what has transpired over these last 8 years?

i just find it astounding that so many voters today have apparently turned their backs on what has made the U.S. so economically and socially prosperous. not only have they shunned capitalism, but now there seems to be a growing social populism. any one of the numerous liberal media outlets confirm this.
