I've been a usability participant on it. Looks like they're adding some useful stuff but I'm sworn to secrecy.

I'm liking the look of the clean interface. It looks like the changes that we saw is CS3 have been taken a stage further. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the Creative Suite like Indesign shape up.

finally some tabs

Seriously, how do we get a Photoshop CS4 beta???

I like what the did with the menu bar.

I personally think the tabbed documents is a great idea. I often have several documents open, and am copying, pasting and referring to others. Control-Tab will cycle currently-open documents in PS, but having the ability to access them with a click is very nice. I imagine this is the type of feature that can be turned off, or, at least it should be, for those unlike me that don't find it useful. I wonder what that adjustments palette is?

Sometimes I feel like giving up, every other month a new copy comes out and it cost yet more money and it is less stable than the previous one..... same with apple os9 was solid as a rock compared to this new system.

My copy of CS3 now crashes when I try open or save a PNG.
Ive seen more spinning wheel than a racetrack

The tabs are optional. Also, on Macs, just like in windows, everything is contained in a master window. You can't see through to your desktop. This is also optional. If you're really desperate for the beta, its on torrent sites already but it's still an early build. I'd wait until its developed more personally.
- Tabs are a great ideaADRENONLINE
- man fuck yes...i hate that on my mac it's not all in one window.sublocked

what's her running face like?

looks like they're basically adopting the flash palette system, like they already did with after effects. i.e. everything docks to everything else and its all scalable. Pretty nice imo.
- MrDaro0
when will it be realased (*cough torrented) to the public?
- ninjasavant0
Actually, you've got it half right. You still have the window environment you're used to but you can group tabs into different windows. But perhaps I've said too much.
- MrDaro0
will it run on 512MB or RAM?

Looking good. I don't care for the tight tiled display, but having a few docs open next to each other AND desktop covered is what Mac Photoshop always lacked for me. Dreamweaver gaping desktop icons wasn't fun to work with either.

WTF, CS3 has not been around that long.
- ADP0
Certainly interesting how its developing on the mac. I agree I prefer 'desktop covered'. I normally always work in the second (f) screen mode unless switching between files
- digdre0
where you got it from?
i want it too
