I wanted to be a scientist.

i took a bunch of photography classes in high school and the teacher was schooled as a graphic designer who helped feed the idea of design as my "photos" were sort of abstract and more graphic rather than your typical portrait, still life, etc...

oddly enough i drew and painted when i was really young, as many kids do. then my dad signed me up for soccer one year and i love the holy crap out of it. i was good enough to play club soccer and started varsity freshman and sophomore year in hs. then for whatever reason i started playing with frontpage and i was making sites for friends' bands and the like. got into college and enrolled in graphic design, but i didnt like it so i dropped out of the major.

I was three years into an engineering career but switched to design 'cause I sucked at physics class, apparently physics it's a big deal in engineering, go figure.

I got into Mass Art on a scholarship, and took another Private College scholarship where I had to pay way more... b/c I didn't want to be a starving artist and thought "design would pay the bills." I honestly thought If I told someone that I was an artist that they would laugh at me or say "oh that's nice." Too much of a designer for the artists, too much of an artist for the designers, thats what college left me with...
