Perhaps you remember the Bottom Lounge, located on the north side near the Belmont Brown/Red Line. CTA "progress" saw the venue torn down about two years ago, and after a lengthy relocation process they have reopened near Ashland & Lake.
The new venue is impressive and is poised to be one of the nicest music venues and bars in the city. Practically brand new, it features a 750+ capacity live music room, a huge front bar, a second-floor 5,000 square foot 'Volcano Room' tiki bar featuring over 100 specialty rums, a restaurant, and a second-floor 2,000 square foot outdoor deck.
My band, The Atlantic Divide, is thrilled to be headlining their first night of regular live music this coming Thursday night. If you're looking for something to do and interested in checking this new place out, it would be great to see you there.
