Nah, he just lost weight to show how the new iPhone is slimmer as well. Now that's commitment.

I say Apple tanks because of the poor leadership of Al Gore.

Is that a tracksuit top instead of a turtle neck?!

He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, then not seeking treatment for more than nine months, while he pursued a range of holistic therapies. WTF!??!
That stupid hippie mentality of his, might be his death at the end.
- most cases of pancreatic would have been dead by now, so maybe it was a good moveDr_Rand
- He had a rare form known as a neuroendocrine tumor, surgery usually cures it, if caught early
designerror - and pushing it 9 months isn't exactly catching it earlydesignerror

- i wouldn't use any of our conventional medicine.... THAT is what kills you. Cancer is very different than just getting sick.dconstrukt

When Steve Jobs is close to death, I wonder if Apple's stock will rise or fall?
Any opinions?
- I was going to answer this but I'm not so sure anymore. Good question.Jaline
- Initially drop like a stone, Jobs IS Apple.pistollero
- People are sick though...Jaline
- nyt had a quote that said it would drop 25%linearch

I'm pretty positive there is no plan if he leaves. While Steve is a great visionary and CEO, I think he lacks some basic leadership skills to build up people to take his place when he leaves.... but I don't know the inner workings and could be all wrong. Maybe he's grooming Ive, who knows...

dude, if you have cancer you MUST take alt. treatments because the stuff they give you IS what kills you.
He's got enough money to look for and get the best treatment. Wish the dude luck... cancer is a killer.

i heard he beat it...in any case, it would almost surely be a negative for Apple since he is so closely associated with that company in a way few CEOs are

Don't be surprised if you see Ives take his place some day.
- surprised nobody mentioned this sooner.sublocked
- i can't see ives doing that. he's too reclusive.jkmohr
- Only because Stevie won't share the spotlight.2cents
- Ives will never take Job's spot. He is super quiet and extremely shy. It will be Phil or whatever,Seanbot

he looks worse for wear...and i don't think it's age. i hope he's not ill :(
would make sense that they'd keep it hush-hush since apple stock would probably drop at the news

I'd like if he'd change his marketing so he quits always being on my case.
