The question is not how, but why.
If you want to be a DJ to get chicks, grab a bunch of top 40 BS club rap tunes and don't mix them and wear a stylin hat when you DJ and everything will be fine.
If you want to be a DJ and really play some music you enjoy for other people and gain the respect of other DJs, you should get some turntables (they don't have to be Technics, but they have to be direct drive) and get some vinyl. Unless you are lucky enough to live in a store with a record store that gives a shit, you'll probably have to order off the internet.
then you should probably learn to beat match unless you want to get laughed at.

i started mixing about 3 years ago.. and i dont claim to be a DJ.. fair from it.. im not good at all in fact im terrible (haha) ....
but seriously get into it dude it is the best fun you'll ever have.. start collecting vinyl now and get some mates together.. just mix for the fun of it..
