i used to run a ska zine when i was in high school. that is how i learned how to make websites (quite horribly i must add).
i was into more 3rd wave stuff:
big d and the kids table
choking victim
hot stove jimmy
blue meaniesand of course the slackers are great trad ska, reggae tip

I got into traditional ska through a good friend of mine growing up. His family is from Jamaica and always had great tunes playing in the house. It was different for me, always felt very uplifting.
Then I got into British punk/ska in the mid to late 80's when my sister was a skinhead.
