those wheels are tiny, imagine how hard it must be to pedal a hill...
- true but manhattan is relatively flat.tkmeister
- small wheels actually make it easier, but it's all overcome by gearing anywayacescence
- I've ridden one, the gear ratio makes for a nice speed to go up hills if you have to.doesnotexist

check out xootr as well: http://www.xootr.com/
you really have to ride them to see what you prefer. i will warn you that some have a very harsh ride, especially aluminum frames. stridas look cool, but you'll feel every pebble on the road.

I am planning to go to a store and check them out. I am thinking Dahon Mu or Speed 8.
I had a cannondale MTB but I stopped riding because I didn't wanna leave it outside on the street. I figure with a folding bicycle, I can take it inside the office and it'll take up less space in my apartment.

A friend of mine won one at a small golf tournament.
Cool bike. Lasted like 3years before my friend landed on his face when the thing broke down in half. Painful but funny.

I've had a Citizen bike for a little more than a year. http://www.citizenbike.com/
The smaller wheels make it HARDER to go fast. I see old people and pregnant women breeze by me on 1st and 2nd Ave. everyday.I'm considering upgrading to a normal size wheeled folding bike:
http://brandscycle.com/itemdetai…...as long as I can get a bag it will fit in. I don't want to lock it up on a Manhattan street.
- first, i was considering a Cadenza but i thought it might be a bit too big to carry inside the office. they got 26" wheels.tkmeister
