I come across people somtimes who use companies who outsource to India. I haven't seen impressive design from India. Has anyone? I've seen great work from around the world, but not India. Jus wondering if there is good design (graphic, web).

yeah same here. just basically programming work from there

i worked for a company which forced us to outsource a design to india. the higher-ups were real dicks and they wanted to see what $500 would get them compared to the "expensive" in-house team they had.
they got back 2 designs. both looked like they were from 2001, both were 1500 pixels wide.

I have a magazine covering some really nice work from india.
I think it's a different culture than what most people are used to on this side of the globe, but to say that all india has bad design, is a bit extremist.I also read an article about how they decorate taxis, mostly typographic works/ a lot of intricate designs around the edges, this is how they make every taxi different to attract customers.. interesting read
