Dug up another Super 8 in my parents basement, it belonged to my grandfather.

I made several Super 8 films over 30 years ago. It is without any doubt an absolutely execrable medium for making films. The only thing that made it remotely worthwhile is there was nothing else that could be used at the time--unless you had a budget of thousands of dollars.
With pretty decent DV cameras only costing a few hundred bucks, and iMovie available on every Mac, there is no earthly reason to fuck with the incredible motherfucker that is Super8.

I think for the right application it works. Its got an incredibly nostalgic feel.

That's cheating! They're digitizing that stuff before editing! If that was really Super8, there would be huge glitches in the soundtrack guaranteed!
